Are dogs affected by people who smoke?

Second-hand smoke is detrimental to anyone who breathes it in and that includes animals. If smoking around or near pets along with providing them a home filled with smoke can lead to dogs contracting lung cancer and malignant nasal tumors. They not only breathe it in but the residue on their fur when self-grooming affects them doubly. Smoking around your cat also has consequences.
