Are cats color blind?

No, they can see colors although maybe not as vividly. The cells that are called rods in their eyes are actually sensitive to dim light and are located at the rear of the eye known as the retina. They also have cells known as cones that sees brighter light. Unlike humans with 3 cones, cats only have 2 cones that are more sensitive to blues and greens. So they may not see all colors the same as we do but they are not color blind.
