What type of housing do I provide for my rabbit?

Many pet rabbit owners like to give their bunnies free reign of the house, which is fine as long as your home is totally bunny proof and the rabbit is litter box trained. It is difficult to leave your bunny free at all times and needs a place to find comfort. A good option is a pen with pet-safe flooring. Dog pens can work to give your bunny sufficient room or even an old playpen. Just be sure to have flooring that is easy to clean. Custom cages are also available at the larger pet supply stores if you wish to go that route. A cage must be big enough for your bunny to move around and stretch out as they so often do. You will need to have room for the litter box, food dish, water bottle and toys.
