The Upside-Down Catfish belongs to the Mochokidae family and they have big eyes, a big fin and a branched tail. They have a light brown body that is normally dark brown splotches, and vary in size. Intriguingly, the bottom of its body is a darker tone, which is the reverse of species that swim upright. This serves as a camouflage when they do swim in an upside down position.
