My 23 year old cat had a very sensitive tummy.  We really had to watch what and how much we fed her or else clean up the mess afterwards.  I think animals are just like humans.  The older they get, the less tolerance they have for certain f...  more

Keeping lots of chew toys on hand and redirecting the behavior is the best way. That along with a very stern "No!" should do the trick. Catching him in the act is best, but she can also show him, say, a chewed up shoe after the fact and tell him no and gi...  more

Well, I was thinking about getting a small one to put on my daughter's dresser. She's only three so just a couple fish would be sufficient and, because she's only three, I don't want to spend a lot of money. I saw a kit that had the aquarium, pump, and so...  more

That is awesome! I have an Aunt who can tell when it's going to rain. I've never seen a cat be able to do this though. I would have wondered what the heck was wrong with the cat the first couple of times.

Keep telling him no when he does it. They should also give him positive attention when he does something right. Play with him with his doggie chew toys and praise him for being a good dog.

Maybe the dog associates the carpet with certain food. As Ada said, something might have spilled on the carpet and the smell somehow got stuck in there. To prevent him from going near the carpet, keep him busy. Give him toys or dog stuff to chew on.

No, we have never given our dogs organic dog food. I suppose organic dog food is healthier and I have just read that it's good for the dog's skin and coat. However, I bet it doesn't come cheap.

I had a 23 year old cat that found it difficult to move around until the Vet recommened Cosequin.  After she had a couple of doses of that, she was almost like a kitten again for a while.  We gave it to her every day for as long as she lived.

I would think what you want to use it for exactly would make a difference. A small cheap one may work well if you just want a few fish and not a lot of "bells and whistles". Also depends on what kind of money you have to spend on one.
